It has been a long time since I last wrote in here. On that time, lots of things have happened.
And some of them very interesting.
The last time you read my blogs in here, Argentina’s national team was...
And some of them very interesting.
The last time you read my blogs in here, Argentina’s national team was...
...struggling, but they surprised everyone (including themselves) and reached the final of the World cup in Brazil.
Sabella did a great job to take the team to that final, but now a new era has begun, the Tata Martino era, that is.
Also River Plate who were just back on the top division, after a short spell in the Nacional B, are now the reigning Argentinean champions and just recorded the longest unbeaten run in the club’s history. (ended yesterday 12/11/2014 against Estudiantes de La Plata)
However another one of the big teams in the country, Independiente, were relegated for the first time in their history, but made a quick return to the top flight.
I wrote many times about the tyranny of Julio Grondona in AFA, where he was the president for 35 years, but since then, he has died, giving the country the chance to run its football in a more transparent and democratic way. The first impression, is that not much will change, but i will be blogging about it in the near future.
Remember Riquelme? Well, his love affair with the team he supports Boca Juniors, ended up abruptly, and he is now playing for the club he did all his development, Argentinos Juniors. Which means, he dropped a category, and is trying to help Maradona’s former team, to gain promotion back to Primera Division.
So there are many reasons for me to be back writing here, there are many subjects that deserved to be talked about and investigated.
So you can expect a lot from me, and I am going to do my best, as usual to bring you as much information, results, analysis, investigations, interviews, etc.
It is so good to be back…
