For many years the trio that they form together with Inter, have fought over the same players. They always try to out bid each other, no matter what.
Over the past few years, Juventus were the one with the least financial muscle to compete, but as of late they have gained new sponsorships, and also the bank extended their credit.
This means that together with prize money and qualification to the Champions League, they will have a decent amount of money to spend and be able to attract top players to Turin.
Juventus:
They are looking for 2 big names strikers, a defensive and a creative midfielder and a left back.
Robin Van Persie: Not an idea that they have had for a long time, but the Dutch’s striker form, has impressed Juve and they are considering a €30m offer.
Gonzalo Higuain: He was their main target last season, but failed to bring him in. However they will try again as he is a player the club admires a lot. There is a lot of competition for the Real Madrid striker, but la Vecchia Signora is ready to battle this time round.
Carlos Tevez: If Milan and Inter think he is good enough then Juve must do their best to try to still the Manchester City player from under their noses. He is not their top man, but one to consider if the search for their ideal strikers does not come to fruition
Luis Suarez: The Liverpool striker seduces the Italian giants very much for his style of play who matches the passion and ability the club’s supporters demand and are used to see.
Fernando Torres: Only if they can get him on loan for a season with an option to buy if he performs well. Chelsea would prefer to sell him outright, or use him as part of a deal to take Falcao to the Bridge.
Emmanuel Adebayor: They consider the Togolese as a cheaper option to their main targets, but only will look into bidding if they lose out on them.
Sebastian Giovinco: a proven striker in Serie A, the Parma and Italian International, did his youth formation at Juve, and they are keen to bring him back. He is nicknamed the Atom Ant (after the cartoon character), because of his short stature but power and dribbling skills.
Christian Eriksen: the Ajax midfielder has impressed the Juventus scouts this season, and the club will try to see if they can win the bidding war that is expected for this Danish player.
Adriano: The Barcelona left back or left winger has emerged as favourite to join the club very soon.
Luka Modric: The Spurs creative midfielder could arrive inTurin if the Eriksen deal does not come to a happy ending.
Pablo Armero: The Udinese and Colombia left back/left midfielder has become a target for many big clubs in Italy and in Europe in general.
Arjen Robben: The player has said lately that he is not enjoying his time at Bayern, and that has alerted many clubs including Juventus. The Dutch midfielder has said also that he would love to play in Serie A.
Leandro Damiao: The club were about to make a bid for the Brazilian forward to find out that Manchester United had already placed a bid and it was higher than the one they were going to place. Juve will have to go back to the drawing board for this one, as the player’s ambition is to play in Italy.
Giuseppe Rossi: The Villarreal player has been desired by Juventus for many seasons. They always go back to him and try to sign him. This season favourites to sign him are Napoli.
Milan:
The club are looking for a central defender as they are not happy with how Mexes has performed since arriving from Roma. But also want to reinforce their defensive midfielder position, the creative midfielder role and one striker.
Javier Mascherano: the Barcelona defensive midfielder, could land in Milan as the Spanish giants want Thiago Silva and will offer the Argentinean plus money in exchange. A deal that the Italian club would not be unhappy to consider.
Dede: Milan had sent this season a huge scouting mission to Brazil. This central defender came back highly recommended from that mission.
Leandro Damiao: Milan are not scared of any other team’s financial power, as they always feel they can compete for anyone they want. Particularly in the case of a player who is desperate to make it to Serie A.
Lucas Moura: another Brazilian that has a chance to end up in Milan, this attacking midfielder has it all and although it is going to be many clubs fighting for his signature, Milan are in pole position to land him.
William: The Brazilian CAM who plays for Shakhtar Donetsk, and has been a Chelsea target for a long time, has now also fallen under Milan’s radar.
Benedikt Howedes: while they believe that the Brazilian market offers more option for attacking players, it is also true to say that the Rossoneri are convinced that the most talented young defenders play in the Bundesliga. The Schalke 04 player is high up on the list, and a bid should be made soon.
Mats Hummels: Another Bundesliga player, this Borusia Dortmund defender will become a possibility if Dede and/or Howedes don’t end up in Milan.
Marek Hamsik: The Slovak striker, has had a tremendous season at Napoli, and has not gone unnoticed in Milan. They see him as an ideal partner for Ibrahimovich.
